What Our Students Are Saying...."I am a fairly normal, healthy 50ish male. I don't smoke, I get some regular exercise and generally watch what I eat. I also enjoy a daily cocktail and an occasional piece of very rare red meat. I have suffered from severe lower back problems for over thirty years, culminating with two herniated disks a couple of years ago. After nearly a year of treatment including three epidurals, narcotics (which I otherwise avoid), physical therapy, and acupuncture I finally was feeling better. At that time I decided to be proactive, so as to decrease the likelihood of further injury, and tried something that people had suggested (and I had avoided) for years...Yoga. I went in with zero expectations and after eight months of weekly sessions I came to the following conclusions: I hadn't experienced lower back pain/aches/injury in many months (unprecedented), my back felt stronger than any time that I could recall and, in general, my (physical) flexibility was greatly increased. Bottom line; I believe that I improved my lower back issues substantially during a time when only one thing changed in my life that could have made this happen...yoga!"
